Burt: Welcome back to another episode of “Ask ViewSonic,” the show that aims to answer some of your most frequently asked questions about your display.

Burt: Today’s question is: What do I do when there is no display from my monitor? Great question. Let me walk you through a simple checklist.

Super: Power Burt: First, make sure the monitor is turned on.

Burt: Simply look at the LED Indicator on the front or bottom of your monitor. If there’s no light, this means the monitor isn’t getting power.

Burt: Then check to see if your power strip is on.

Burt: Still no image? No worries. Try testing the outlet with a different device to rule out a faulty power supply.

Super: Input Source Burt: Most monitors automatically detect the input source. But sometimes this can be disabled.

Super: Cables Burt: Unplug and firmly plug in the cables between the computer and the monitor.

Burt: Wiggle the cable gently to make sure there’s a solid connection.

Burt: If all else fails, try a different video cable or another video connection. The cables that attach the monitor to the computer may be damaged. Super: Port Burt: If your computer is installed with a dedicated graphics card, make sure the monitor is plugged into the graphics card.

Burt: Ah, there you go, we’re back in action. If you found this video to be helpful, please hit “Like” and we’ll continue creating videos like this. If you want to read more on this topic, check out our online user guides in the description below.
