    NOTE:

In indoor air quality testing applications, it is common to use Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) to calculate the equivalent carbon dioxide (eCO2). This method is based on the assumption that the sources and emissions of CO2 and VOCs in indoor environments come from people.

However, not all VOCs are produced by humans, such as some building materials, new paints, or a liquid with a scent which can cause an increase in VOC levels. Since eCO2 is derived from VOC equivalence, the eCO2 value may increase accordingly, but in fact, the concentration of CO2 may not have changed.

When the gas concentration around exceeds the range of measurement, the eCO2 value will display as 0 and remain unchanged. As the concentration falls within the measurement range, it will gradually recover.
